Jette Lyngsø, 64, is from Skæring Strand in Jutland, Denmark. She and her husband Karsten have 2 children and 4 grandchildren (age 5 to 8 years old). Jette used to work as a teacher and a youth counselor. Now she is a weaver. Jette was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 20 years ago.
Jette used to walk in mountains and loved biking – but she says she was grounded by MS. So she started sailing instead. Her family has a very little boat with sails, and in her own words:
“I am looking forward to the peace, quietness, and nature experience, new challenges and friends - with waves, wind, storm and stars above.”
